The Beauty of Courthouse and Intimate Elopements: A Personal Journey

Now, to share a bit of my personal story. My wife and I chose a Quaker wedding, or self-nuptials, during the COVID era. The simplicity of our ceremony saved us from a lot of stress, especially when dealing with family drama. As healthcare and essential workers, we knew we needed something functional that wouldn't be a heartache if lost or damaged. And guess what? Our wedding day was uniquely ours, marrying on November 1st, which was also the adoption day of our fur baby Hopey. This date represents the day we all became a family in multiple ways. One unexpected advantage of our simple wedding was that we're further along in paying her Dental school loans than her classmates. We had time to plan our honeymoon and didn't have to encounter any sleepless nights over wedding plans.
